A full kitchen remodel covers design and layout, permits where structure or plumbing changes, demolition, plumbing and electrical rough-in, cabinetry, countertop templating and installation, backsplash and flooring, then paint and final finishing. Queens Home coordinates every trade under one point of contact, so the schedule holds and no stage waits on an unbooked subcontractor.

Two stages set the timeline. Permits are required whenever a remodel moves plumbing or removes a load-bearing wall — Queens Home files these with the City of Toronto or the local municipality and manages the inspections. Countertop templating cannot begin until the cabinets are set and level, which is why a mid-range remodel usually needs ~1–2 weeks on site while a full layout change needs ~2–4. Range-hood ventilation is not optional either: the Ontario Building Code sets the exhaust requirement for a kitchen, and it is checked at inspection.

What types of homes do you work in?

Queens Home works in houses, custom homes and villas, and commercial properties. We do not take on condominium or apartment kitchens, and we do not work in high-rise towers. If your kitchen is in a house or a business, it is in scope. If it is in a condo unit, we will tell you before a site visit is booked rather than waste your time.
